We finally know where the Rihanna, and Jay Z rumors came from.
Years ago, when Rihanna was first starting out with her single “Pon De Replay,” rumors started surfacing surrounding a possible romance between the young singer and her mentor.
Those rumors have since been swept under the rug, until now where an unauthorized biography on Beyoncé was released and detailed how those rumors came about.
Her ex-publicist reacted to this story, and finally told everyone the truth around that rumor. As you can imagine it’s a stupid as you may think.
Jonathan Hay gave a statement to the New York Daily News which read:
“I apologized to her,” he said. “This whole thing is very awkward.”
He then told Inside Edition:
“I was desperate at the time because I wanted to have a hit record,” Hay told in a separate statement. “We were young and stupid. It was reckless and I didn’t think it was going to work,” Hay said. “I was just throwing spaghetti at the wall to see what would stick.”
Safe to see why he’s now the ex-publicist.
