Roy Keane: Joao Felix is an imposter

Portugal’s participation at Euro 2020 is officially over after a 1-0 defeat to Belgium and although the defending champions could feel slightly hard done by as they were the better team, Roy Keane was hugely critical of Joao Felix after the match.

Felix was brought off the bench as Fernando Santos‘ team looked for an equaliser, but he soon found himself within the crosshairs of the former Manchester United captain.

That guy’s an imposter,” Keane said on ITV.

“Your country needs you, he comes in – hit the target! 100 million?

“If I was Ronaldo, I’d be going after him in the dressing room.”

Criticism came mostly due to Felix missing a shot late on in the match, with Keane even going as far as to critique the technique of the Atletico Madrid player.

“It bothers me when they are quality players, there is no excuse to lean back like that and miss the shot,” he added.

Make the goalkeeper work, they are high-level players.

“They have no right to pass up these opportunities.”
