Scarlet Gomez, a renowned Nigerian actress, has shared that her husband, Temi Gomez, is fully supportive of her taking on intimate roles in films.
Speaking on a recent episode of the Curiosity Made Me Ask podcast, the Wura star discussed her husband’s mature outlook on her profession. Scarlet emphasized that Temi distinguishes between her real-life persona and the characters she portrays on screen. She affirmed that, no matter the nature of her kissing scenes, his trust in her is unwavering.
I am married to a man, not a boy. He doesn’t have a small ego. And he trusts his wife, she stated.
Reflecting on her eight-year marriage, Scarlet argued that being married is neither an obstacle nor a prerequisite for a thriving acting career. She also urged the interviewer not to place undue emphasis on kissing scenes.
Marriage is not a requirement for acting. It is for me, personally. I’m doing my job… why are you so focused on kissing?” she questioned.
Gomez, who began her acting career in 2012, revealed that acting wasn’t her first choice but became a way to earn a living.
She also recently spoke about the emotional challenges of playing the lead role in Wura, crediting her friends and family for being a strong support system. Although the role has brought her increased recognition, Scarlet said she is intentional about avoiding typecasting in her career.
