Following Leicester City’s relegation from the Premier League last season, Ndidi is reportedly eager to leave the club. Although he signed a new three-year deal with the Foxes last summer, the contract contains a £9 million release clause that could now facilitate his departure.

Everton previously attempted to secure the 28-year-old’s services before the start of last season, but Ndidi turned down the offer. The Toffees have now reignited their interest.

In January, French club AS Monaco made a bid for the midfielder, but Leicester rejected the offer. Meanwhile, several Saudi Arabian clubs are also monitoring the situation and are ready to tempt the Nigeria international with a lucrative contract.

Ndidi joined Leicester City in January 2017 from Belgian side KRC Genk. He has made 252 appearances and scored 11 goals for the Foxes, and was part of the squad that lifted the Emirates FA Cup in the 2020/21 season.
