Nollywood actress-turned-evangelist Tonto Dikeh recently expressed her appreciation for her former husband, Olakunle Churchill, in a touching Mother’s Day message.

She referred to Churchill as her friend and offered prayers for God’s blessings upon him. Thank you, my Gee, for making me a mother. Dikeh also addressed critics who believed she was overly effusive in her praise for Churchill. She insisted that only she truly understands the depth of her gratitude and remained steadfast in her appreciation. The actress hinted at a positive co-parenting relationship with Churchill, writing: Doing too much? For the only man who has put a child in me? The world is truly a sick place, and I’m grateful. Don’t let your opinions direct me.
She continued, When it’s your turn, don’t thank them. How would you understand the joy and peace that makes no sense? How would you understand healthy co-parenting if I don’t show you all?
Dikeh and Churchill’s marriage ended controversially in 2017, but Dikeh recently revealed that they have now buried the hatchet.
Churchill married his former personal assistant, Rosy Meurer, in 2021. The couple welcomed their first child in March 2021 and their second in October 2022. In 2023, Churchill also denied rumors of marital issues with Meurer.
