Tyson Fury growing into the favourite against Wilder

Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder step back into the ring this Saturday, October 9 in their first bout since 2018.

Wilder was heavy favourite when they first met, and he came out swinging from the start. Fury, though, was strong and determined. Having been floored and immobile on the canvas, the Englishman got back to his feet and came close to knocking Wilder out towards the end.

That night the contest ended as a draw, but fans around the world saw their opinions of Fury improve.

Their second fight was a little more even, and Fury was more capable of handling Wilder’s attacks. Then, the Englishman won in the seventh round as Wilder’s corner threw in the towel.

But Wilder remains dangerous ahead of their third fight, and he is more than capable of knocking out an opponent. On top of that, Fury has bad memories of Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena, with his only visit there being a loss to Otto Wallin.

Whatever the outcome, Fury’s skill and control coming up against Wilder’s brute force is going to be a show worth watching.
