The ‘Soweto’ hitmaker earlier revealed that he has never performed on stage without being drunk.

But in a post via X on Thursday, the 24-year-old celebrated a personal milestone, announcing 3 months sober, Glory.

In another post, Victony reflected on his past, adding that the troubles he went through while growing up didn’t allow him to enjoy his youth the way he ought to.

My troubles stole my youth, the post reads.

In April 2021, the singer was involved in a ghastly accident that claimed the life of one person and left three others injured. He has since undergone four surgeries following the incident.

He had also described his accident as a blessing in disguise.
The accident was definitely a blessing in disguise because it’s teaching me a lot, I’m still learning from that experience, he said.

You know, it kind of like just slowed me down and just made me understand that certain things were really important in life.

Victony rose to fame a few years ago after collaborating with Mayorkun for Holy Father.
He is signed to Mainland Block Party, a record label owned by the Nigerian music executive Tobi Mohammed.
