Surfing legend Mick Fanning has recounted the moment he turned, fist clenched, to face the shark which was attacking him.
‘I thought: ‘If this thing is going to come for me, I want to have a look at it,’ the professional surfer said at a press conference after touching down in Sydney on Tuesday.
‘So I turned around and I was floating on my back, I had my fist cocked ready to see what was going to go and luckily it didn’t come and by that stage the boats and the jet skis were on top of us and I’m here to tell the story.’
