WHO rule out that COVID-19 was created in a lab

Since the emergence of COVID-19 in December 2019, theories and conspiracies have circulated about the virus’ origin and the speed of its spread from Wuhan.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) have said that the most likely origin was that it was transmitted from an animal to a human via a third party, therefore ruling out the original belief that it originated at a Wuhan market, as was widely believed at first.

Additionally, the WHO have ruled out the suggestion that the virus was created in a lab.

To date, over 106 million positive cases of COVID-19 have been recorded and 2.3 million people have died.
