Except for rice, the prices of other major food items have crashed in various parts of Nigeria. This came barely 11 days to Christmas celebration.
The crash in food prices was more pronounced in the north central, northwest and northeast zones, a nationwide investigation by LEADERSHIP Weekend has revealed.
The significant drop in food prices contradicts the fears of most Nigerians that the closure of land borders by the federal government may inflict more pains in terms of inflation on them during the Yuletide season.
