Match Preview

Nigeria and South Africa will face each other for the second time in 2024 after their last encounter in the semi-final of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Super Eagles emerged victorious in the Ivory Coast earlier this year with a 4-2 penalty shoot-out win after a 1-1 draw at the end of extra-time.

Two South Africa-based goalkeepers were in goal the last time the two countries faced off and they are in still contention for Friday’s game.

Bafana Bafana, however, has seen their preparations hampered by injuries but coach Hugo Broos is positive about getting a favorable result in Nigeria.
