Barcelona’s stars will undergo tests for coronavirus on Wednesday morning as they return to training.
Lockdown rules have been relaxed in Spain and the ministry of health has given clubs permission to return to their training grounds – which have been closed since March.
Stars will be expected to train individually but they are still required to be tested to see if they have coronavirus.
And Barcelona have announced that they are planning to welcome their players back to the Joan Gamper sports city on Wednesday ahead of a mooted return for LaLiga in June.
‘The football first team will be back at the Ciutat Esportiva on Wednesday for the relevant medical tests ahead of starting training individually in the coming days,’ a club statement read.
‘LaLiga has given the go ahead for the tests to be carried out after the club facilities are inspected on Tuesday. On Wednesday the medicals will be carried out to guarantee the players’ health.’
It is part of an extended process that will see the Spanish top flight eventually return to action behind closed doors.
