Philip Billing Rescues Napoli with Late Equaliser Against Inter Milan

Philip Billing kept Napoli’s Serie A title hopes alive with a dramatic late equaliser in a 1-1 draw against Inter Milan at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona on Saturday.

The Danish midfielder, on loan from Bournemouth, scored his first goal for Napoli three minutes from time, cancelling out Federico Dimarco’s stunning 22nd-minute free-kick. Billing reacted quickly to a rebound after Inter goalkeeper Josep Martinez saved his initial shot, ensuring Napoli stayed just one point behind Inter at the top of the table.

Inter, who led for most of the match, were left frustrated after failing to hold onto their lead, with Simone Inzaghi’s men struggling once again in a high-stakes encounter.

Meanwhile, Atalanta missed the chance to close the gap on the leaders after being held to a goalless draw at home against Venezia. Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman squandered key chances, including a close-range miss in the 82nd minute, as Gian Piero Gasperini’s side remained in third place, three points behind Inter.

Venezia’s hard-fought draw gave them a slight boost in their relegation battle, though they remain five points away from safety.
