Former beauty queen and reality TV star Beauty Tukura has finally addressed her past relationship with Neo Akpofure.
Speaking on Toke Moments with Toke Makinwa, the 27-year-old Afe Babalola University alumna reflected on the relationship, describing it as beautiful while it lasted.
“There was nothing to hide,” she said. “I was happy being with him at the time.”
However, when asked if she would date publicly again, Beauty firmly responded, “Honestly, no.”
She revealed that all her previous relationships, except for the one with Neo, were private, emphasizing that she prefers it that way to avoid external influence.
“I think it’s just better when it’s private because there’s no extra opinion,” she explained. “When you have a public relationship, it’s like we are plenty—there’s his family, my family, and then the whole world in it.”
Addressing the influence of fanbases, Beauty acknowledged the intense passion of Big Brother Naija fans, stating that public scrutiny often makes things more complicated.
“Sometimes it’d be easier if they didn’t see things as black and white but as normal,” she said. “At the end of the day, we are just normal people; we are just out there.”
Beauty’s remarks highlight the challenges of maintaining relationships under the spotlight, reinforcing her decision to keep her personal life private moving forward.
