Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Ruth Kadiri, has opened up about being mocked on social media over the size of her engagement ring, shedding light on how she dealt with the experience.
The mother of two, known for maintaining a low profile when it comes to her personal life, made the revelation during an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo on his Live Talk show.
Kadiri, who first announced her engagement in 2017 via Instagram, recounted the moment she shared a photo of her engagement ring, only to be ridiculed by some users over its size.
I remember when I got engaged, I don’t know who sent me, I went and posted it. These people started laughing at the size of my ring, she said.
Admitting to having a petty streak, the actress added that she didn’t take the mockery lightly. They don’t know I’m petty. I went and checked their profiles, ready to respond with witty remarks, she added with a laugh.
