At least 19 more Nigerians have been added to the United States government’s list of the most serious criminal offenders and are now slated for deportation.
According to findings by Gidipoint from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security website on Sunday, this latest update brings the total number of Nigerians facing deportation to 113.
The recently named individuals were convicted of various crimes, including sexual assault of a minor, fraud, assault, drug trafficking, and money laundering, among others.
A note accompanying the list stated that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials arrested the convicts, who will be deported after immigration procedures are completed.
The notice reads: The U.S. Department of Homeland Security is highlighting the worst of the worst criminal aliens arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Under Secretary Kristi Noem’s leadership, the dedicated men and women of DHS and ICE are delivering on Donald Trump’s promise by carrying out mass deportations — starting with the worst of the worst — including the illegal aliens listed here.
Some of the newly added names include Adeolu Solabu, Oladayo Agboola, Chinonso Ochie, Oluchi Jennifer Chimdimma Chime, Samuel Omorodion, Sunday Adediora, Sunday Kunkushi, and Mkpouto Etukudoh. Others on the list are Marcus Unigwe, Kehinde James, Blessing Uchanma, Victor Adebisi, Richard Ugbah, Olaniyi Ojikutu, Oluwamuyiwa Olawoye, Okechukwu Amadi, Femi Jolayemi, Anthony Asanya, Izuchukwu Okoye, and Ebele Agbasiele.
This development comes as U.S. authorities continue their crackdown on criminal and undocumented migrants.
Earlier, it was reported exclusively that 79 convicted Nigerians were initially listed for deportation following their arrest by ICE, but the number has now climbed to 113 over the past three weeks.
