Crayon, the Nigerian singer-songwriter, sparked controversy on Sunday evening with a string of posts on X, where he criticized the leadership of Mavin Records.

He mentioned Mavin founder Don Jazzy and COO Tega Oghenejobo by name, at one point declaring, “Don jazzy na my boy!!! Una dey maddddd??? Shayennnnn sharayyyyyy333, before turning his attention to Tega, whom he called the highest criminal.
Crayon, who hails from Lagos and has been signed to Blowtime Entertainment (an imprint of Mavin Records) since May 2019, didn’t stop there. He proclaimed, Mavin is going down!!! and took a jab at the label’s biggest star, Rema: Rema for the next 100 years no feature. You stole my star from me. Yeah I took tha shiiiiii backkkkk hoeeeeerrrr!!! Snakkkkkkkeeeeeesssssssss.
It remains unclear if Crayon’s X account was hacked, especially as he has continued posting normally on Instagram without mentioning any breach.
The singer also hinted at leaving Mavin Records, sharing new contact details for Olodum Entertainment and promoting a new bookings email: Bookings@olodument.co.uk.
A review by TheCable Lifestyle found that Crayon’s latest single, Baami, is now released under Olodum Entertainment, with no Mavin branding in sight.
In another post, Crayon invited creatives to design a flag for the new label, promising a cash prize: Any weird creatives that can come with OLODUM ENT FLAGGSSSSS!!! Gets 500M million naira cash !!! With love WARAAAAAAAAA!!!
Mavin Records and its executives have yet to respond to the outburst.
