Veteran Nollywood actress Patience Ozokwo, popularly known as Mama G, has revealed why she is frequently cast in witch and villain roles.
According to Ozokwo, these characters give her an opportunity to highlight the consequences of evil and injustice.
She made these remarks during a livestream interview with popular Nigerian streamer Carter Efe on Monday, where she was asked about her recurring portrayal of witches in films.
Ozokwo explained that such roles align with her commitment to promoting moral values and discouraging wrongdoing.God carved that niche for me to expose every ill.
God created me to bring these issues to light, she said. I hate injustice. I hate war. I hate anything that causes rancor.
The actress emphasized that she approaches these roles with the intention of helping viewers recognize the repercussions of negative behavior.
When He gave me that kind of role, I try to bring out everything I know about it, so that if you are involved in any of these things, you will be cautious and understand how it ends, she explained.
Ozokwo added that, through these characters, she hopes audiences will realize both the consequences of living a bad life and the rewards of making the right choices.
