Popular Nigerian socialite and dancer, Iweh Pascal Odinaka better known as Poco Lee has been remanded in a United Kingdom prison and is set to face trial on sexual assault charges. The Snaresbrook Crown Court in London confirmed the prosecution on Tuesday.
Responding to media inquiries, James Baker, the court’s Admin Team Lead, stated: Good afternoon. I can confirm that this case is currently listed at Snaresbrook Crown Court for plea and trial preparation on the 15th September 2026.
Baker also noted that while criminal hearings are open to the public, specific hearing times and courtroom details will only be made available a day prior to the proceedings.
Echoing the court’s confirmation, Benjamin Kuti, founder of the Nigerian community in the UK, affirmed that Poco Lee is currently being held on remand in a UK prison facility. “I can confirm that the reports are true.
Poco Lee is currently on remand in a UK prison. His next court date is scheduled for the second week of September, when he is expected to have a plea hearing,” Kuti said.
Kuti also mentioned his intention to attend the Snaresbrook Crown Court proceedings in person, as part of his ongoing efforts to support the Nigerian diaspora.
