Nigerian rapper Blaqbonez has spoken out about his ongoing feud with fellow artist Odumodublvck, a conflict that has dominated headlines for several months.
The rift escalated after Odumodublvck publicly accused Blaqbonez of sexual abuse and alleged that certain figures within the music industry were protecting him from these accusations.
Further intensifying the dispute, Odumodublvck in June reignited his public issues with Blaqbonez’s record label, Chocolate City, accusing them of trying to orchestrate his arrest.
In response, Blaqbonez filed a N2.55 billion lawsuit against Odumodublvck for defamation and harassment.
During a recent interview with Nevon HQ, Blaqbonez revealed that the feud stemmed from a personal matter involving a woman they both met at the same time and place in 2023.
He explained that he and the woman were in a non-exclusive relationship for about a year, and he was unaware that she might also be involved with Odumodublvck during that period.
According to Blaqbonez, the woman had previously mentioned that Odumodublvck was interested in her and had sent her flowers, but he did not pursue the matter further.
Blaqbonez recounted that after a year, the woman decided to end their relationship but continued to maintain contact, prompting him to set boundaries.
He suspected she might be seeing someone else but did not press the issue, as their relationship lacked formal commitment. Eventually, she sent him a message formally ending their friendship, which he interpreted as an attempt to shift responsibility for the breakup onto him.
Attempts to clarify the situation led to further confusion, especially after learning from her later that she had indeed been dating Odumodublvck.
The situation culminated in November 2024, when Blaqbonez and Odumodublvck cut ties over the issue. Shortly after, Blaqbonez discovered Odumodublvck was working on a diss track against him. When Blaqbonez reached out to address their differences, Odumodublvck rebuffed him, accused him of interfering in his relationship, and declared them enemies.
The two, along with the woman, attempted to resolve the matter via a phone call, but it ended in further disagreements and Blaqbonez blocking both parties.
Blaqbonez claims the fallout led to ongoing online harassment and social media attacks directed at him and his team. The tension persisted until both artists attended a meeting at Aso Rock, where they reportedly signed a mutual agreement to cease hostilities.
Regarding the sexual abuse allegations, Blaqbonez expressed confusion, stating that Odumodublvck had never raised such accusations during their years of personal interactions, including months of daily communication.
Blaqbonez is now pursuing legal action for criminal defamation, assault, and theft—alleging that Odumodublvck took his sunglasses and rosary during an incident in 2024. He stressed that he intends to see the case through, demanding that Odumodublvck substantiate his claims in court and compensate him for the reputational and financial damages incurred.
