Nollywood actress Adebimpe ‘Mo Bimpe’ Oyebade has opened up about the challenging journey she faced before becoming a mother.
Mo Bimpe, who married fellow actor Lateef Adedimeji in December 2021, reflected on the emotional toll of waiting for a child and the public criticism she endured during that time.
Last year, Lateef Adedimeji revealed that online trolls had targeted his wife over their delay in having children. In May, the couple joyfully announced the birth of their triplet boys.
Sharing a joyful moment at Iyabo Ojo’s grandchild’s birthday on Instagram, Mo Bimpe recounted how she often felt left out at gatherings and milestone celebrations she longed to experience.
For years, I felt left out. I never got an invite to naming ceremonies, birthdays, or baby showers – I only watched from afar. I remember crying so many times, but despite it all, I didn’t give up, she wrote.
She added, Last year, I wasn’t a mum, but now I’m a mum of three boys. For so many years, I was trolled, insulted, and excluded because I didn’t have a child, but I kept working, smiling, and believing.
Mo Bimpe encouraged women trying to conceive (TTC) not to lose hope, urging them to remain patient and faithful.
To every TTC mum watching and listening to me, please do not give up. Your time is coming. Let my story inspire your faith. If God did it for me after years of waiting, He will do it for you too. I’m praying for you. May He visit you soon and turn your waiting into a testimony.
