Nollywood icon Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has revealed that she turned down several lucrative opportunities that could have made her a billionaire, choosing instead to remain true to her values.
Speaking on the Afropolitan podcast, the renowned actress shared that many of the offers she declined were connected to politics.
She clarified that while these opportunities were not inherently wrong, they conflicted with her personal principles and the image she wants to uphold. “If I wanted to be a billionaire, I could have easily achieved that. There have been situations where no one would have known, and I could have compromised my stance for substantial gain. But I always chose to walk away,” Omotola stated.
She emphasized that the temptation was not always about overtly immoral choices. “Sometimes, the offers aren’t necessarily bad. They simply have the potential to undermine your beliefs or shake your foundation. Even when they don’t seem harmful, I still choose to walk away, because over time, accepting them would dilute the message I stand for,” she explained.
This version highlights her principles and reasoning for turning down such offers.
