Nollywood actor Timini Egbuson has spoken out to clarify misconceptions about his personality and rumored romantic life.
During an appearance on the Culture League podcast, Timini addressed the widespread belief that he is constantly surrounded by women, explaining that his demanding career leaves little time for such a lifestyle.
For the past two or three years, Nollywood has completely taken over my life,” he revealed. “A lot of people assume I’m a womaniser, but I’m not. Honestly, unless you’re extremely unserious, there’s just no time.
Some of my friends are juggling four or five women at once, and I wonder how they manage it. I’m on set all day, getting home exhausted at 11 p.m.—I just don’t have the capacity for that. I’m really not as out there as people think.”
Timini went on to say that after long days on set, he barely has the energy for anything beyond winding down alone. “To be honest, I don’t mind it.
Sometimes when I get home, I take a shot of Martell just to relax and sleep by myself. People would be surprised to know that I’ve actually been alone for a while.”
He also noted the natural changes that come with age. As you get older, you’re not as involved in the scene anymore. No matter how young you look, the pool of people to choose from keeps getting smaller. That’s just the reality.
