Lanre Gentry, the estranged husband of Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe has released a statement following his release from Kirikiri Prisons.
Lanre, who was arraigned and subsequently remanded in prison for wife battery and assault, was granted bail on May 9, but only fulfilled his bail conditions yesterday, May 16.
In an Instagram post, Lanre decried the poor state of the prison, adding that government should not leave what it ought to do and start involving themselves in domestic violence. He wrote:
