Nollywood actress Adunni Ade has announced that she is now a mother of three, calling her newborn daughter an answered prayer.
In an emotional Instagram post on Sunday, Adunni shared that she and her partner chose to keep the birth of their daughter private for over two years.
Known for keeping her personal life out of the spotlight, Adunni did not reveal her partner’s identity. She explained that the decision to shield her family from public attention was intentional, allowing them to cherish their blessing in peace.
Today, on my birthday, I’m finally sharing what we’ve protected for over two years, she wrote, accompanying the post with photos from her pregnancy and a close-up of her daughter’s hand. “This journey wasn’t easy.
It came with silent battles, moments that tested me, and a strength I had to grow into. While the world saw one version of me, I was experiencing something much deeper and more personal.”
Adunni emphasized the importance of privacy, saying it allowed her family to savor their joy without outside pressures. Not every single mother fits your assumptions. Not every story is a scandal. Not every blessing comes with drama attached, she wrote. God gave me mine fully, peacefully, intentionally. Not ‘another woman’s man’ for the sake of clicks.
She revealed that it had been almost a decade-long journey before she and her partner welcomed their first child together. Our baby girl, our answered prayer, is proof that God still writes beautiful stories in His own time,” she added.
Adunni, who affectionately calls her daughter Baby Sal, expressed gratitude to friends, family, and supporters for their love and prayers. She also clarified, No single home is or was broken in the making of our Baby Sal. It’s always love.
Adunni, born to an American mother and a Nigerian father, is also mother to two boys, Ayden Young and D’marion Young, from a previous relationship. In 2017, she shared that she was never married to their father and ended their eight-year relationship because it was not working out.
