The 59 players shortlisted for this year’s Ballon d’Or have been named.
‘La Gazzetta dello Sport’ has published a list of the players shortlisted for the prestigious award.
Real Madrid and Barcelona both feature heavily with seven players each. The list also includes five world-class Spaniards who are keen to win the award: Diego Costa (Chelsea), David de Gea (Manchester United), Iniesta (Barcelona), Morata (Juventus) and Sergio Ramos (Real Madrid).
