Chimsom Chuka has been crowned the first Head of House (HoH) for Big Brother Naija’s 11th season, while Abi claimed the role of deputy HoH after an action-packed premiere week.
The 2026 season kicked off Monday evening with a high-stakes HoH challenge featuring all 24 housemates competing in a series of timed tasks. The contest was divided into male and female heats, with the fastest contestants from each group advancing to a final showdown. The winner earned the coveted HoH title, and the runner-up became deputy.
After a fiercely competitive final round, Chimsom secured victory with a time of 2 minutes and 8 seconds, followed by Abi as deputy. As HoH, Chimsom is safe from eviction this week. However, unlike previous seasons, the HoH will not have automatic access to the exclusive lounge. Instead, a new twist required Chimsom to select a housemate at random—via a lucky dip box—to enjoy the luxury suite for the week.
Tram was selected as the lucky beneficiary and gained access to the HoH lounge, with the added privilege of inviting another housemate to join. Tram chose Sheba as his companion in the lounge. Under this new format, Chimsom’s only reward for winning the HoH challenge is immunity from eviction, while Tram and Sheba get to enjoy the lounge’s comfort and privacy.
This season’s champion will walk away with a record-breaking grand prize of N160 million—the biggest payout in Big Brother Naija history since its 2006 debut.
