Pere, the current head of house (HoH) at the ongoing Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) ‘Shine Ya Eye’ edition, has stopped White Money from cooking in the house.
White Money has been in charge of the kitchen since the sixth edition of reality TV show started.
But on Wednesday, Pere expressed his reservation with the development and demanded a replacement while addressing his fellow housemates.
The 36-year-old visual artist described the trend as “a monopoly of the kitchen,” arguing that such is “unhealthy” for the house.
Someone else has to handle the kitchen till Monday. I know he (White Money) is not complaining but he has to relax. Another individual will be in charge of the kitchen and others can assist. If the next HoH wishes to continue the trend, then it’s fine,” he said.
“The whole essence of this is to reduce monopoly. I’m very direct about this because kitchen monopoly is not healthy. I hate anything monopoly.”
After a short deliberation with other housemates over the matter, Pere asked Angel to take charge of the kitchen.
The development comes amid the frosty relationship between Pere and White Money as the race for the show’s N90 million grand prize heats up.
The drama between the duo had started after White Money suspected Pere as one of the wildcards, a development which infuriated the latter.
Pere had earlier announced a plot to stop the entrepreneur from cooking for the housemates, describing such as “a strategy” to win the top price over others.
