The Dallas rapper, known for his country-rap hits, performed tracks “The Largest” and “Mmhmm” off his sophomore album, TAKE CARE, with a live band.
While introducing BigXthaPlug, Kimmel proudly held up a vinyl of the album and mentioned, “The man who gave me this beautiful piece of jewelry.” Later, backstage, fans got a glimpse of the moment the rapper handed Kimmel the massive chain, saying, “I come bearing gifts as always. We’re twinning. I have one as well.” Kimmel responded, joking, “People do tell me we look like twins,” and added, “I feel like a princess.”
The pendant is a nod to BigXthaPlug’s hit single “Texas,” featuring elements like a Dallas Mavericks jersey, swangas, and lean, all reflective of Texas culture. The piece cost him a jaw-dropping $60,000, with the chain itself valued at $30,000.
On the music front, BigXthaPlug’s TAKE CARE deluxe album dropped in January with three extra tracks. He also released “All The Way” with Bailey Zimmerman in April, and the song is quickly nearing 10 million views on YouTube.
