Britney Spears married Sam Asghari on Thursday in a ceremony that took place in Los Angeles, but without the presence of her children.
It was already known that Britney’s brother, Bryan, was to be the only person from her close family circle that would attend the wedding, as her father, mother and her sister Jamie Lynn were all absent.
As confirmed by several media outlets such as TMZ a few hours before the ceremony, Britney’s children would not attend the wedding.
The famous singer was in a relationship with Kevin Federline, whom she married in 2004 and with whom she had two children before splitting three years later.
Federline’s lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, confirmed that Sean Preston, aged 16, and Jayden James (15) would not be attending their mother’s wedding.
Although the boys will not be in attendance, Kevin and the boys are happy for Britney and wish her and Sam all the best going forward,” he told TMZ.
Back in May, Spears announced on Instagram that she had lost a baby early in her pregnancy.
