Buhari escapes death as bomb blast kills over 40 in Kaduna

Former Head of State and national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), General Muhammadu Buhari escaped death today after another bomb exploded under Kawo bridge, Kaduna killed over 40 persons.
Buhari, a presidential flag bearer of Congress for Progressive Change in 2011 escaped the bomb blast which left scores injured.

Buhari, according to a close source disclosed that he was coming into town from a journey when the second bomb exploded.
Buhari, who also led Nigeria as a military head of state in the 1980s, “was the target” of the bombing in the Kawo area of the city, said Ahmed Maiyaki, the spokesman for Kaduna’s governor.
P.M. News however gathered that the suicide bomber who also was on a bicycle died instantly in the blast .
Meanwhile tension has enveloped all parts of the state out of fear that more bomb could be exploded.
Traders and workers were seen closing their shops and moving to their various houses.
