The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has published in recent days several photos and videos of Russian soldiers captured at its borders.
Many of them did not know what they were really going to do when they arrived on Ukrainian lands.
In the last few hours, a video has been released in which a young captured Russian soldier calls his family to explain his situation and ask them to request an exchange for a Ukrainian detainee in the hands of Russian troops.
The video of the soldier’s call, over two minutes long, is accompanied by a text describing the alleged conditions of Putin’s military during the invasion.

In one part of the video, the soldier tells his mother that they have been sent to die and asks her to take care of his son.
According to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the soldier asks his mom to submit the request to the Russian Mothers’ Union to make an exchange and release him.

The Ministry of Defense has circulated an appeal asking mothers of Russian servicemen taken prisoner to contact them to pick up their children in Kiev.
“A decision has been made to hand over the captured Russian troops to their mothers if they come to pick them up in Ukraine, in Kiev,” they wrote on Facebook.
