
Young Nigerian wingers Arnaut Danjuma & Emmanuel Dennis Bonaventure were both on the scoresheet as Belgian champions defeated Zulte-Waregem 2-5 on Friday evening at the Rainbow Stadium.
Dennis got his goal in the 37th minute off a corner again just like last weekend while Danjuma scored in the 50th minute.
It was Dennis 2nd goal of the season and Danjumas 3rd.
Brugge got off to a fortuitous start when Zulte Waregem’s Florian Tardieu deflected a hard pass by Ruud Vormer into his own net.
The blue blacks were soon 2 up when new signing Kaveh Razaei scored his first in a blue-black shirt from the spot after Referee Nicolas Laforge blew for a penalty for a foul on Mitrovic.
Dazzling Nigerian winger Emmanuel Dennis who was having a cracking game scored Club Brugges 3rd in the 37th minute when he headed in a cross from Hans Vanaken.
Brugge continued where they left of in the 2nd half when just 5 minutes after the break when Dutch youth international Arnaut Danjuma scored with a stunner to make it 4-0
Zulte Waregem pulled one back when Thomas Buffel in the 81st minute.
The match was not done as there was a late flurry as both sides scored a goal each Waregem through Theo Bongonda before Brugges Mats Rits injury time goal ended proceedings at 5-2
Both Danjuma and Dennis started their new roles as wingbacks with Danjuma lasting all 90 minutes while Dennis was withdrawn just before the end of the 1st half.
