Date and time of season’s first Clasico announced

The date and time have been set for the first official Clasico of the season between Real Madrid and Barcelona which will be played on Sunday, October 16

The Matchday 9 fixture will be kicking off at 16:15 local time at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu in Madrid.

DAZN will be the TV channel in charge of broadcasting the most important match of the LaLiga Santander encounter and will have the presence of two legends, Guti and David Villa, during the broadcast.

Currently, after six games played, Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid team are top of the La Liga Santander table with 18 points, while the Blaugranas are second, with two points less after drawing the first game of the season against Rayo Vallecano.

With the promising form that Barcelona have been showing this season thanks to their new signings, the fixture should be much more of a spectacle than it was last season.

Both Karim Benzema and Robert Lewandowski will be battling it out to be the most impressive striker on the pitch. The Real Madrid man may have the upper hand given the injuries to Barcelona’s defensive duo of Jules Kounde and Ronald Araujo who might not be fit in time.
