Nigerian music star Davido has emphasized the importance of financial independence within marriage, advocating that both men and women should maintain their own personal finances.
In a recent interview on The Uncut Podcast, Davido stated that he sees nothing wrong with spouses having secret accounts. He explained that he would not feel betrayed if he discovered his wife, Chioma, had a secret bank account.
Yeah, I think it’s good. I actually think they should; you never know. If I ever found out that my wife had a secret bank account, I wouldn’t be angry. I think everyone should have their own, he said.
