Ousmane Dembele’s agent Moussa Sissoko has reportedly travelled to Catalonia to meet with Barcelona and negotiate a potential contract renewal on Wednesday.
The two parties have not agreed terms, but a potential deal appears to be more possible than it was a few days ago.
As revealed by Sport, Sissoko conveyed Dembele’s willingness to lower his financial demands, which are still above what Barcelona have offered.
The Blaugrana have promised to assess Sissoko’s proposal and have organised another meeting which will take place in the coming days.
In the meantime, Barcelona will study whether it is possible to find a formula that allows the club to improve their offer.
Dembele’s contract is set to expire in the summer, with Xavi Hernandez having expressed his desire to see the France international stay put ahead of next season.
