Abayomi Anuoluwapo Oluwadamilare, popularly known as Hype DJ Annex, one of Nigerian’s hottest DJs, was born in Lagos Nigeria. He grew up listening to a lot of raggea, soul, jazz and indigenous genres, like juju,fuji, highlife, funk, R&B, pop, disco and hip pop. He happened to collect a lot of early rap albums from the 80’s and 90’s, and developed an interest in hip-hop and Hyping.
ANNEX started his entertainment career as a DJ, known as DJ ANNEX.
DJ ANNEX revered for his role in setting the pace for hip hop music across his country; Nigeria,he jumped on the scene in Lagos up on till this moment. Dj Annex rocked and bopped heads at a lot of nite clubs and gigs. At a point in Nigeria the hennessy artistry came into lagos to see and ecourage Nigeria DJs when he participated at the hennessy artistry DJ’s Competition in 2008. also L’G electronics decided to do the same battle in 2012 when he became the second runner up the battle commence at the ember creek at awolowo ikoyi, between DJ CYPHA AND DJ ANNEX.
