Four persons have died in a fresh accident recorded on the Kara Bridge on Thursday, causing a heavy gridlock on the Lagos/Ibadan expressway.
Channels Television gathered that the accident, which occurred in the early hours of the day, saw about four trucks, including a fuel tanker, collide on the bridge.
There was, however, no fire recorded during the collision.

One of the trucks carrying unknown items veered off the road towards the river. It crashed into the brick barricade of the bridge, as its severed head plunged into the river.
As of the time of filing this report, eyewitnesses told our correspondent that the occupants of the truck whose head plunged into the river were yet to be found.

It was gathered that a police officer, an assistant to one of the drivers, and two other people died, while a motorboy and one other person were injured in the accident.
The policemen on ground refused to speak with Channels Television when approached.
A towing van, which was contacted to separate the trucks, was also hit in the process.
As of the time this report was filed, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) marshals were already on the ground attempting to salvage the situation.
