Months after welcoming triplet sons with his actress wife, Mo Bimpe, popular Nollywood actor Lateef Adedimeji has candidly shared the emotional journey and public scrutiny the couple faced before the birth of their children.
In a heartfelt Instagram post on Tuesday, Adedimeji reflected on the challenging period marked by whispers, rumors, and mockery that tested their faith and resilience. He explained that he and his wife chose not to respond publicly to the speculation, instead embracing silence and relying on their faith as their shield.
We spoke, Allah answered, he wrote. The mockery. The lies. The stigma. The assumptions. The things said behind our backs, and sometimes to our faces. There was a time when the whispers were louder than our prayers.
Adedimeji continued, There were moments we could have fought back, explained ourselves, or tried to prove people wrong. But we chose silence—because we knew something they didn’t: Allah was writing our story.
Now, as parents to three boys, the actor described his sons as living proof of divine timing and answered prayers. When Allah writes your story, you don’t need to fight every lie or answer every accusation. You don’t need to convince everyone. Just wait for His timing.
He added, Today, I stand beside my wife, looking at our three beautiful boys, and I can only say: Subhanallah. Three boys. Three blessings. Three miracles. Three answers to prayers only Allah knew about. What people thought would break us, Allah used to build us. What was meant as mockery became our testimony. What was spoken in darkness, Allah brought into the light. They had their opinions. Allah had His plan, and His plan was greater.
Adedimeji also expressed deep gratitude to his wife for her unwavering strength throughout the ordeal. “To my wife, #mo_bimpe, we have been through a journey only we truly understand. Thank you for standing, even when standing wasn’t easy. Thank you for believing, even when the world gave us reasons to doubt.
Addressing his sons, Adedimeji said, One day, you may hear what your parents went through before you arrived. You may never fully understand the tears, the prayers, the waiting, and the battles. But always remember this: You were prayed for. You were waited for. You were fought for. And Allah brought you to us in His most beautiful time.
He concluded, Today, I don’t want revenge or explanations. I don’t want to prove anything anymore. I just want to say ALHAMDULILLAH. Sometimes, the best response to those who counted you out is to let them watch Allah count your blessings.
