Popular streamer Peller has sparked conversations online after revealing during a live chat with colleague Sandra Benede that he no longer enjoys visiting or living with his family — not out of neglect, but due to the mental pressure of being their sole provider.
“I don’t like seeing my family again,” Peller confessed. “I still send them things to make sure they’re okay, but my mentality now is beyond staying with my parents. It feels like I’m their father and mother. I don’t rest.”
Despite having an older brother, Peller said he shoulders most of the financial responsibilities, describing the emotional toll it has taken on him. He admitted that if not for his family constantly looking for him, he would have already relocated to America just to find peace.

His honesty triggered mixed reactions online:
- @KlasickTheHost urged him not to run: “Don’t stay away from your family if they are sweet. Society might betray you but family won’t.”
- @jamesgodwin504 empathized: “When you’re the breadwinner, it feels like they’re using you when the demands become too much.”
- @MolanoHybrd offered a positive spin: “You should be grateful to God for putting you in that position—many can’t.”
- @TheUptown_SA added: “To understand his feelings, you need to walk in his shoes. Too young 💯”
Peller’s remarks reflect the growing emotional burden faced by many young providers, especially in African households where family expectations often weigh heavily on those who become financially successful early.
