Ibrahimovic fined 50,000 euros for breaching betting rules

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been fined 50,000 euros by UEFA for violating betting regulations within the organisation.

The AC Milan striker has been found guilty of violating Article 12 (2) (b) of the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations for having financial interest in a betting company.

It is the result of an investigation UEFA led into Ibrahimovic’s involvement in betting company Bethard, who he has since cut ties with.

Bethard, of which Ibrahimovic was a shareholder, was recently purchased by Esports Entertainment Group for 16 million euros, according to Direkt.

Milan have also been fined 25,000 euros for Ibrahimovic’s violation of the regulations.
