Iheanacho Injured: Rescued From Slump By Romanian Opponent

Manchester City Young Star Kelechi Iheanacho suffered a muscle injury and was rescued from an on field slump during Manchester City 1-0 win over Steaua Bucuresti of Romania by a player from the opposing team.

Iheanacho in his first ever start for Manchester City in the premier league under new manager Pep Guardiola appeared to have pulled up a muscle while chasing a pass down the opponent box in the 75th minute.

The 19 year old fell awkwardly after experiencing a pull behind his thigh, and was almost swallowing his tongue and going unconscious before Steaua Bucuresti defender Bogdan Mitrea came to his aid.

28 year old Mitrea, helped keep the Nigerian conscious by tapping on his jaw to help keep his tongue in his mouth before the medics arrive to take the player who is considered by city as cover for first-choice striker Sergio Aguero off on a stretcher

Iheanacho is now a major doubt for Nigeria’s AFCON 2017 qualifier against Tanzania in Uyo early next month.

18 year old Anglo Nigerian Tosin Adarabiyio, made his Champions League debut as a second-half substitute for Manchester City against Steaua Bucuresti .

Manchester City advanced to the group stage of the Champions League on a 6-0 aggregate at the expense of Steaua Bucuaresti of Romania.
