Busola Dakolo, the Nigerian photographer, has celebrated Timi Dakolo, her husband, on the occasion of his 41st birthday.
In an Instagram post on Thursday, the brand influencer and ex-banker shared a picture of her husband alongside a romantic note.
Busola eulogised the musician for being loving, kind, and patient over the years.
She also promised to always be there for him.
“Dear Husband @timidakolo, over the years you have been full of kindness, love, and patience. May this year channel you into the next level of greatness and always know that I am here for you. Your wife,” she wrote.
The singer also took to his Instagram page to celebrate himself. He posted his picture as well as his account number and asked fans to send him “birthday money.”
“+1 today. Thank you, God. Send a brother’s birthday money. 1449923576 access bank,” he wrote.
Timi began singing in church at the age of 12. He came into the limelight after emerging winner of the inaugural season of Idols West Africa, a reality show, in 2007 and has since continued to enjoy fame in the music landscape.
The singer got married to Busola in 2012. The union has been blessed with three children.
The couple has been involved in lingering controversy since Busola alleged that Biodun Fatoyinbo, senior pastor of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA), raped her on two occasions while she was a teenager.
The clergyman, however, dismissed the rape charge made against him.
