Popular content creator and actress Bukunmi Adeaga-Ilori, better known as Kiekie, is not backing down on her bold personality—and now we know why.
Appearing on the ‘What I Said’ podcast, Kiekie opened up about her mother’s powerful influence on her life, calling her mum a trailblazer in Nigeria’s male-dominated oil industry.
“My mum is a very big businesswoman in the oil space… She was once the secretary of the entire IPMAN (Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria).”
Despite her own massive success, Kiekie admitted:
“I haven’t even achieved half of what my mother has accomplished.”
🔥 On Being ‘Too Loud’:
Known for her energetic personality and confident delivery, Kiekie has often been criticized for being “too loud.” But in her usual witty style, she clapped back:
“A presenter told me, ‘Some people say you shout a lot.’ I told her—be loud enough so I can learn your name.”
She continued:
“I have over 10 million followers across platforms, and Nigeria has over 200 million people… do you see now that my voice is not loud enough?”
💡 The Kiekie Takeaway:
- Be unapologetic about your voice.
- Draw strength from those who came before you.
- If you’re dreaming big, speak even louder.
Kiekie’s message is clear: when your roots are strong and your dreams are valid, you owe the world your full volume.
