Justin Bieber’s music is known to bring young girls flocking, start riots, and, as of recently, repel bears. Igor Vorozhbitsyn, a Russian fisherman, was reportedly being attacked by a brown bear but escaped death after his Justin Bieber ringtone went off, which allegedly scared the beast away.
“I couldn’t believe my luck when the phone went off and he fled,” Vorozhbitsyn said.
The Russian native was heading to a local fishing spot when the bear suddenly appeared and attacked him. But thanks to Bieber’s smash hit “Baby”, the bear was startled and fled into the forest.
I know that sort of ringtone isn’t to everyone’s taste, but my granddaughter loaded it onto my phone for a joke,” Vorozhbitsyn explained.
However, the quality of the music isn’t what ceaseed the attack but rather, the music’s volume, the NY Post reports. “Sometimes a sharp shock can stop an angry bear in its tracks and that ringtone would be a very unexpected sound for a bear,” an expert told Central European News.
