Real Madrid will seal a sensational free transfer for Kylian Mbappe next summer after failing with a last-ditch attempt to bring the PSG superstar to the Bernabeu, according to reports.
Mbappe – widely regarded as one of the best players in world football – has just one year left on his contract in Paris and has been strongly linked with a move to Madrid, having failed to sign fresh terms.
Following Lionel Messi‘s stunning switch to PSG, the LaLiga giants made their move for Mbappe – tabling an initial £137million offer, which was swiftly rejected, with Madrid then upping their bid to £145m plus £9m in add ons – but this was also turned down by the Parisiens.

And now Sky Sports claim that the deal is dead in the water – with Madrid walking away from the negotiating table after trying their luck with a final £189m bid and hearing nothing from PSG.
Los Blancos will now move to wrap up Mbappe’s transfer next summer for absolutely nothing after they have agreed pre-contractual terms with the World Cup winner in January, the report adds.
It spells the end for one of the most hotly-debated transfer sagas of the summer and instead leaves football fans drooling about the prospect of him linking up with fellow forwards Messi and Neymar this season.
