Second Republic governor of Lagos state, Alhaji Lateef Kayode Jakande is dead. He was 91.
Jakande, a former newspaper editor and publisher was governor between 1979 and 1983.
He died at about 8am today, of old age.
Burial arrangements are being discussed by the family, his son Deji, a former member of the House of Representatives told Gidipoint News.
