Leicester City have confirmed the appointment of Brendan Rodgers as their new manager until June 2022.
The Northern Irishman is back in the Premier League after almost three years at Celtic, where he won seven trophies and has the club on track for a third successive domestic treble.
Leicester moved quickly for Rodgers after sacking Claude Puel following the 4-1 home defeat to Crystal Palace.
Sky Sports News understands Rodgers informed Celtic’s players on Monday afternoon that he was leaving, having also told the board of his desire to join Leicester.
The 46-year-old previously managed Swansea City and Liverpool in the Premier League and becomes the Foxes’ third permanent manager since they axed their title-winning boss Claudio Ranieri in February 2017.
