The Reds will face West Ham in the Premier League Round 15 on Sunday afternoon. Liverpool are going to extend their home unbeaten run and to show why they are the most efficient home team in Premier League (3.17 goals per game). In last six home matches Liverpool recorded five victories and draw (against Manchester United).
Klopp’s troops hope to get back on the winning track after they unexpectedly lost 3-4 against Bournemouth, although Liverpool had 3-1 lead in the 64th minute. Head coach Jurgen Klopp referred to match against Bournemouth: ” It is not an easy place to play and we did it really well, but not until the end – and that’s our fault, nobody else’s. That’s what we have to learn. If we learn from Bournemouth loss, it will make us stronger.”
“We will be angry again, angry for points. West Ham will be a tough game. It’ll be interesting!” – stressed Klopp at the press conference before the match against the Hammers. He also added that Liverpool’s defender Joel Matip will not be going to the Africa Cup of Nations.
Phillipe Coutinho and Daniel Sturridge will miss Round 15 – “He (Sturridge) will be back as quickly as possible, but I have no idea at this moment. If he is not training with the team at the moment then we don’t have to think about him for West Ham, or think about him for Middlesbrough.”

The Hammers are coming to Liverpool after embarrassing loss 1-5 against Arsenal at London Stadium. West Ham will try to break their negative run, they recorded two draws and three losses in last five matches. Head coach Slaven Bilic said that his squad have redoubled their efforts in training as they seek to bounce back from last weekend’s 5-1 home defeat by Arsenal.
Bilic was again asked about his position due to their negative run and he responded: “We didn’t have a meeting, we had a conversation like we normally have. Since I’ve been here, I speak to the Chairman a couple of days after every game. After Saturday’s game we spoke on Monday and had a good conversation, but not a meeting. I feel the support and have said that so many times and I felt that support in our conversation this week. I believe in myself and my staff and look at what we achieved last year and I believe there is time to turn it around.”
He also welcomed Michail Antonio and Aaron Cresswell back into his squad for Sunday’s Premier League match against Liverpool, while Cheikhou Kouyate and Diafra Sakho are out.
