
Several hopefuls will be given a chance by coach Manu Garba to stake a claim for a place on his final 21-man squad for the U20 World Cup in Tuesday’s test game against the Hoffenheim U23 team.
The match will be played from 3pm local time, which is 2pm Nigerian time, at the Hoffenheim sports ground.
The Flying Eagles will make the two-hour bus ride from Nurnberg to Hoffenheim from 11am local time.
The team are spending a second week in training camp in southern Germany with the likes of Godwin Saviour and Kingsley Sokari, who were not part of the African Youth Championship-winning squad in March, impressing thus far.
Musa Yahaya, who missed the AYC in Senegal due to a knee injury, has also recovered fully, while Genk of Belgium central Wilfred Ndidi has joined up with the squad.
The African champions are also slated to take on Nurnberg U23s on Friday and Freiburg U23s on May 19.
Nigeria are to announce a final squad for the World Cup in New Zealand on Friday.
They are pitched against five-time champions Brazil, North Korea and Hungary in the first round of the competition, which kicks off on May 30.
